Gender Queer Literature is a free online and living resource for contemporary genderqueer perspectives.

With these goals, GQL looks for non-conforming gendered contemporary literature. We publish creative works with gender non-conforming protagonists or by authors who self-identify as such. We also share on how to write such perspectives.

SUBMISSIONS: Look to Duotrope for details. https://duotrope.com/duosuma/submit/gender-queer-literature-THzrz

Creative

We publish creative works with gender non-conforming protagonists or by authors who self-identify as such. For this reason, we also are interested in reviews and interviews as well as poems, stories, excerpts, and images. Send in your best work, nicely edited, and that takes the reader beyond the usual coming out stories. Normalize our experiences.

On the Craft

How do we use gendered language and gender markers to write non-binary, trans and GQ narratives? How are our experiences represented in contemporary English literature?

Articles & More

GQL wants to also share your theses, articles, and abstracts connected to our topic of non-conforming gendered narratives. Send us your work! And if you know of any events or awards and contests, let us know. Cheers!
